New Document MRB is pleased to present this special edition to mark Montreal’s year as World Book Capital. We’ve chosen stories that will reflect and celebrate the role of books and literature in forming and articulating our city’s unique identity. Two young writers, new to Montreal but already prominent in the community, consider the city’s role in their work. An array of local literary figures choose the Montreal book that has meant the most to them. A world-class resource for research and the delectation of bibliophiles is visited. And a departed titan of Montreal poetry is remembered.
New Document We wish to thank the Canada Council for the Arts, the Department of Canadian Heritage and SODEC for their generous support, without which this publication would not exist.
